// IT Support, Penrith & the Nepean
IT support in Penrith, on-site when it needs hands.
Business IT support and computer repairs across Penrith, Emu Plains, St Marys, Kingswood and the Nepean. Remote first because it is faster and cheaper for you, on-site when the job is physical. Ad-hoc help is $165 an hour with no contract, plans start at $66 per user per month, and you hear back within one business hour either way.
Penrith is not the CBD and the IT problems out here are not CBD problems. Businesses in this area are more likely to be in a shed, a workshop, a warehouse or a standalone building than a serviced office floor, which changes almost everything about how the network, the WiFi and the equipment cabinet should be built.

// Local reality
Three things that break IT in Western Sydney specifically.
This is not a template page with the suburb name swapped in. These are the conditions that genuinely change the engineering out here.
- Heat. Penrith is reliably one of the hottest places in the Sydney basin, and it is not close. A comms cabinet or a small server in an unventilated cupboard, a mezzanine office or an uninsulated shed will spend summer afternoons well above what the hardware is rated for. Heat does not usually kill equipment on the spot; it shortens drive life and causes the intermittent crashes and reboots that get misdiagnosed as software faults for months. If your gear lives somewhere that gets hot, that belongs in the diagnosis rather than being discovered later.
- Mixed NBN technology. The Nepean has a genuine patchwork: older established suburbs on copper-based connections that degrade with distance and wet weather, newer estates on full fibre, and pockets where fixed wireless is the realistic option. Two businesses a few streets apart can have very different ceilings on speed and reliability, so the honest answer to "what can we get" is a check on your exact address rather than a general claim. Failover matters more here than it does closer in, and we cover the options on the business NBN and phone page.
- Storms and power. Western Sydney storm season does real damage to equipment that is plugged straight into the wall, and a brief outage at the wrong moment corrupts data on machines that were mid-write. Surge protection and a UPS on anything that matters is cheap; the recovery afterwards is not. This is also the most common reason a business out here discovers its backup was never actually working.
// Scope
What we get called out for.
- Computers and servers. Slow machines, failing drives, machines that will not start, and servers making new and interesting noises.
- WiFi that does not reach. Sheds, warehouses, yards and two-storey buildings, where the answer is usually proper design rather than another extender. See WiFi site surveys.
- Internet and phones. Dropouts, slow connections, failover, and number porting when you change providers.
- Email problems. Mail not arriving, landing in spam, or a mailbox someone else has got into.
- Data recovery. Failed drives, corrupted arrays and camera footage. Stop using the device and ring before trying DIY recovery software.
- Cameras and access control. Install, repair, and getting footage off a system nobody has the password to. See CCTV and access.
// Questions
Penrith IT support, your questions answered.
Do you actually come out to Penrith?
Yes. Penrith and the Nepean sit inside the on-site area, along with Emu Plains, St Marys, Kingswood, Cranebrook, Glenmore Park, Jamisontown, Werrington and the surrounding suburbs. We start remotely wherever the fault allows, because it is faster for you and cheaper than a callout, and we book a visit when the job genuinely needs hands on hardware or cabling.
How quickly can someone get here?
You will hear back within one business hour. Most faults that can be fixed remotely get looked at the same day. On-site visits are usually within a day or two, and a server-down or whole-office-offline situation jumps the queue. We would rather give you a realistic booking than a promise that sounds good on a website.
What does it cost?
Ad-hoc support is $165 per hour with no contract. Ongoing plans start at $66 per user per month for remote helpdesk, monitoring and patching, and $132 per user per month for the complete plan with on-site visits and vendor management. Onboarding, audit and documentation is from $550 one-off. Figures are ex GST and indicative, and you get a fixed quote after a free consult.
Do you do computer repairs, or only business IT?
Both, though the honest advice differs. For business machines, repair versus replace is a real calculation and we will do the maths with you. For a five-year-old home laptop with a failed drive, the repair often costs more than the machine is worth, and we will say so rather than quietly billing for it.
Can you recover data from a failed drive?
Often, yes, and this is unusual for a provider this size. We do drive and video recovery work in-house rather than shipping everything to a lab. The most important thing you can do is stop using the device immediately: continuing to write to a failing drive is what turns a recoverable situation into an unrecoverable one.
We are in a shed or a warehouse out here, is that a problem?
It is common in this area and it is fine, though it changes the answer. Sheds, workshops and warehouses need different WiFi and network design than an office, they often need outdoor or long-range links, and equipment cabinets in an uninsulated space need to be planned around Western Sydney heat rather than ignored.
